The project goes back to the competition "Ennepebogen" in Gevelsberg, won in 2003. The new building for the Competence Centre of the Stadtsparkasse Gevelsberg was the first building block to convert the former industrial area in the direct neighbourhood of the town centre and to initiate the process to convert the area in the "EnnepePark".

The Sparkasse Gevelsberg's desire to extend its existing headquarters with a competence centre finds sufficient space in the transition between town and landscape. The new event room with a view into the park and to the Ennepe combined with a generous entrance area creates possibilities to offer a varied range of events and an attractive arrangement of new customer support rooms.
